Everyone can benefit from improving their mindfulness and concentration. These positive qualities of mind will help us in our professional life and family life. We will be able to successfully complete our daily activities that we normally find stressful with ease because we will be less and less distracted and engage in our activities with a calm and happy mind.
"When the turbulence of distracting thoughts subsides and our mind becomes still, a deep happiness and contentment naturally arise from within. This feeling of contentment and well-being helps us cope with the busyness and difficulties of daily life."
Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche ; Introduction to Buddhism
In this course, Gen Kelsang Dragpa will present simple and practical methods of mindfulness and concentration that everybody can understand and relate to and that are easy to integrate into daily life.
These classes will be taught by Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Dragpa. He is a Modern Kadampa Buddhist monk and the National Spiritual Director of the Nordic Region. He received ordination in 1993 from Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and is one of his most senior disciples. Gen Dragpa has taught extensively in the Netherlands, UK, Belgium and France. His teachings are very practical and easy to understand. They offer profound solutions to our everyday problems.
The classes are taught in clear, easy-to-understand English and are suitable for complete beginners as well as those looking to deepen and strengthen their meditation practice. Each class includes a talk and one to two guided meditations. Each class is self-contained so you can drop in whenever you can or attend the whole series for optimal benefit.
