One of London’s oldest running and best comedy clubs, where stars like Eddie Izzard, Russel Brand and Jimmy Carr earned their stripes. Once a month Comedy Café will bring you the best of British humour at Røverstaden. 


HOST: CARLA SMALLMAN
Carly Smallman sings funny songs and tells funny jokes. She has been lucky enough to perform all over the UK and internationally at the best comedy clubs, theatres and festivals around. Carly has appeared doing stand-up on BBC (The Rob Brydon Show) and ITV (Viral Tap), amongst numerous other TV and radio appearances. She also occasionally appears on Talk Radio as a co-host or guest.

BEN CLOVER 
Ben Clover is a comedian who has won awards for stand-up and screen-writing. He lives in London and is a regular at the capital's biggest clubs, as well as being a writer for the BBC.

MARIA SHEHATA 
Award-winning Egyptian-American comedian Maria Shehata is quickly making a name for herself in the UK. She has a conversational delivery and no-nonsense candor that is sardonic yet playful, and has been charming audiences all over the US, UK, and Europe. She’s been featured on Comedy Central, Showtime, BBC, and Comic Relief.

BEN VAN DER VELDE 
Ben Van der Velde is a stand-up comedian, actor, improviser and presenter, who, over the past few years, has spread joy and nonsense to all four corners of the British Isles, as well as Greece, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Estonia, Latvia, Finland and Norway. In 2016 his show received 5 and 4 star reviews, whilst several of jokes made it into lists of ‘Best Joke at the Fringe’ compiled by The Scotsman, i-News and The Huffington Post.
