Har du ikke sett Troll? Frykt ikke! Troll 2 har ingen forbindelse med Troll, bortsett fra navnet (ingen av dem har heller noe med Troll 3 å gjøre). Manuset vokste ut av regissørens kones frustrasjon over at flere av hennes venner ble vegetarianere. Et ypperlig utgangspunkt, syntes tydeligvis produsent Joe D’Amato (Erotic Nights of the Living Dead, Porno Holocaust) som passet på å holde kostnadene så lave som mulig.

There are no trolls in Troll 2. There are, however, an astounding amount of incompetence on display. Made by an Italian crew and American actors who didn’t understand each other, this film about a family who unwittingly stumbles into a town of vegetarian people-eating goblins will make sure you never piss on hospitality again!
